Breastfed babies need to eat on demand. A nursing mother will vouch, even during those moments when the mom doesn't feel situated to nurse the baby, the baby's natural needs and demands are strong and rightful. Functioning through the day while meeting baby's needs are made smoother when you have the right tools. Babywearing is our #1 on-the-go nursing best friend, and here are other items new mamas can surely appreciate having around. All items may not be necessary for all, but these are the Baby aWearness Top Picks, after supporting countless breastfeeding families over the last 10+ years. |
*Note on size selection & listed recommended age of use:
-Recommended age listed only applies to specific product introduced in that section as all brands/products vary. -Carriers are sized to the adult, not the baby -Some babies, especially if smaller or skinnier, can take some time to comfortably fit carriers, especially structured carriers. Try it again in a couple of weeks and it may be all different! Also, please make sure you are wearing baby correctly. -Larger babies can grow out of them sooner. Rule of thumb to wearing your baby: -The baby should feel secure up against you, as if you are holding them snuggly and securely with your arms. Essentially, the carrier is replacing your arms, so you get your arms back. -Make sure all the linings of the fabrics are securing the baby on, so the rest of the fabric can hold baby in. Straps should all be nice and snug. -Baby's head to should free to look around, or the side of their face up against your chest with free airway. The sound of the heartbeat calms baby, too. -Hip carry and back carry options are recommended from 6mo and up, when the baby is sitting up on their own and showing great upper torso support.
